Biblical scientific foreknowledge

Biblical scientific foreknowledge is a belief that certain Bible passages knew about scientific facts before scientific discovery.

Earth floating free in space

He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing. Job 26:7 (ESV)

Job 26:7 states that God "hangs the Earth on nothing.", It also contrasts with ancient Hindu and Native American myths that the Earth hangs on a turtle.

Blood circulation

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. Leviticus 17:11 (ESV)

Leviticus 17:11 states, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood", blood circulation was not discovered until 17th century by William Harvey.

Modern science agrees that blood is essence for life because it carries oxygen, food, hormones.

Universe expansion

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; Isaiah 40:22 (ESV)

Hebrew word "natah" in the verse means to stretch out or extend. universe expansion was not discovered by secularists until 20th century.

Uncountable stars

Even as the stars of heaven cannot be counted, and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so too I will make innumerable the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who minister to me.” Jeremiah 33:22 (CSB)

Jeremiah 33:22 states number of stars cannot be counted by a human, scientific estimate puts that number of stars are 10²² to 10^{24 .} but it would take human billions of years to count all of them.

Circumcision on the 8th day

He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring, Genesis 17:12 (ESV)

Genesis 17:12 commands circumcision to be on the 8th day, Modern science suggests that optimal time to circumcise is the 8th day.

Big bang

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:3 (KJV)

Genesis 1:3 matches the description of big bang, Big bang theory was not purposed until 20th century by Georges Lemaître.

Psalm 8:8 mentions "the path of the seas", ocean pathways were not discovered until in 19th century by Matthew Fontaine Maury.

Hygiene

Biblical sanitation laws predates germ theory, supported in 19th century.

Any bed on which the man with the discharge lies and anything on which he sits will be ceremonially unclean. If any of you touch her bed, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. If you touch any object she has sat on, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. This includes her bed or any other object she has sat on; you will be unclean until evening if you touch it. If a man has sexual intercourse with her and her blood touches him, her menstrual impurity will be transmitted to him. He will remain unclean for seven days, and any bed on which he lies will be unclean.

“If a woman has a flow of blood for many days that is unrelated to her menstrual period, or if the blood continues beyond the normal period, she is ceremonially unclean. As during her menstrual period, the woman will be unclean as long as the discharge continues. Any bed she lies on and any object she sits on during that time will be unclean, just as during her normal menstrual period. If any of you touch these things, you will be ceremonially unclean. Leviticus 15:4-27 tells to wash yourself and your clothes — many cultures underemphasize bathing.

“You must have a designated area outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. Each of you must have a spade as part of your equipment. Whenever you relieve yourself, dig a hole with the spade and cover the excrement. Deuteronomy 23:12-13 (NLT)

Deuteronomy 23:12-13 says to poop in holes and cover them — contrasts with modern river pooping.

As long as the serious disease lasts, they will be ceremonially unclean. They must live in isolation in their place outside the camp. Leviticus 13:46 (NLT)

Leviticus 13:46 commands quarantine if diseased.
