Images as Second Commandment violations or "2CVs" is the understanding that images visually depicting a member of the triune Godhead are not permitted under the 2nd Commandment of the Ten Commandments. While there may be some dissension among members of the Reformed community as to whether such constitutes a violation of the 2nd Commandment, there is historical and majority view in the Reformed tradition that rejects the making/usage of images depicting God.
