Septuagint primacy

Septuagint primacy is a theory on how to translate and canonise the Holy Bible. It asserts that the Greek Old Testament, known as the Septuagint is more reliable to the original theology of the Church than the Hebrew Old Testament.
As a result, Churches such as the Anglican, Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches, which affirm Septuagint primacy, tend to include the Apocrypha as canonical Scripture, since the Apocrypha is only found in the Septuagint.
