Baal

Baal was a false god worshipped by Canaanite pagans. The worship of Baal sometimes involved child sacrifice, which is condemned in the Bible. In Jeremiah 19:5 and 2 Kings 23:10, it is mentioned that the Israelites, influenced by Canaanite practices, sacrificed their children by fire to Baal, a practice that God denounced as an abomination.
