Chalcedonianism, also known as Dyophysitism, is the idea formulated at the Council of Chalcedon which asserts that Jesus Christ is one person with two indistinguishable natures, one human and one divine.

This idea opposes Monophysitism and Miaphysitism, which assert that Christ is one person with one nature which is human and divine, and Nestorianism which asserts that Christ is one person with two distinguishable nature, one human and one divine.
