Sola Scriptura (Latin for "Scripture alone") is a doctrine of Protestantism. It teaches that the Bible is the final, sufficient, and the only infallible authority for Christian faith and practice. Church leaders and traditions are lower, fallible authorities that must be tested against the Bible.
