Criminal charges

In the State of Arizona, Chantry and was arrested and convicted of two counts of aggravated assault of a minor, but a mistrial was declared for four counts of child molestation. According to a criminal complaint filed in the State of Arizona, there were several incidents of assault/molestation between 1995 and 2001, when Chantry worked for the Miller Valley Baptist Church in Prescott, Arizona.

ARBCA Controversy

The Association of Reformed Baptist Churches in America (now known as Confessional Baptist Association) faced a divisive controversy that began in the mid-2010s over claims of the association mishandling the admission of Chantry's current church, Christ Reformed Baptist Church, into the association; and the failure to previously recommend church discipline to his former church Miller Valley Baptist Church in the early 2000s (which had later also objected to the admission of Christ Reformed Baptist Church into the association).
