Old Testament

The Old Testament is the first part of the Bible, consisting of a collection of books that were written before the birth of Jesus Christ. It includes a variety of genres, such as historical narratives, laws, poetry, wisdom literature, and prophetic writings. The Old Testament tells the story of God's creation of the world, His covenant with the people of Israel, and their history, struggles, and relationship with Him. It also contains teachings on morality, worship, and the promise of a coming Messiah. The Old Testament is shared with Judaism, where it is known as the Hebrew Bible or Tanakh.

Many of the laws of the Old Testament were fulfilled when the Messiah, Jesus, came.
