Arguements against USA being Christian nation
Establishment Clause
the Establishment Clause has been used to argue against United States being a Christian nation which actually states:
| “ | Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof | ” |
It stops the government from making an official religion or favoring one religion over others, but It does not stop Christianity from influencing U.S. law, Lawmakers can have Christian values, but they cannot make laws to push Christianity as the official religion.
