The Philadelphia Confession (1742) is a confession of faith, which is a result of the Philadelphia Association of Baptist Churches adopting the Second_London_Baptist_Confession_(1689) and adding an additional modification (an allowance for the singing of hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs in the Lord's Supper and made optional the laying on of hands in baptism).
