First Book of the Kings

The First Book of the Kings is a book in the Bible which primarily focuses on the reign of King Solomon, the building of the Temple in Jerusalem, and the division of the united kingdom of Israel into two separate kingdoms after Solomon's death.

It is part of the Deuteronomistic History, a series of books that also includes Joshua, Judges, 2 Kings, 1 Samuel, and 2 Samuel.
